Analysis of an Audi Car Advertisement Advertising is a media form which aims to seek huge influence over its audience in order to sell the product that they are promoting. Advertising is a complicated and extremely difficult business where many different people have to work long and hard in order that the viewer wishes to purchase their product once he has seen it. Adverts are made in advertising agencies and one advert usually takes around a month until fully finished. The advertiser has to take in account many different types of questions such as: What audience to aim for? What type of advertising to use? Where to place the adverts toâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦If, for instance, the targeted audience was teenage girls and the product was new makeup then by using a beautiful female celebrity to endorse it, the girls would probably want it, as they believe by using it, it would make them look nicer. Another ex ample is if the targeted audience was young men and the product was cologne then the advertiser may try and use sex appeal by using a pretty woman to pretend she likes the cologne so much that by wearing it you will attract women like her. V.W Audi is a German car manufacturer, which sells cars here in England. We watched an advert of theirs to see how they would try and persuade the viewer to buy their cars. The advert is targeted at adults who have a family and are wealthy. You know that the targeted audience is wealthy as in the advert the price is not mentioned suggesting that the type of person who likes the car and wants to buy it wont care about the price. Also in the advert we see a house, which appears rather large and has huge windows in the background suggesting an affluent family may live there and would therefore need a fantastic car to complete a happy family image.
